Quintessence Auto respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We only collect information you give us directly, primarily through the contact form on this site:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- The subject of your inquiry (buy, sell, trade, lease, source)
- The specific vehicle you’re interested in (if you reached us from a listing)
- Any message you write
- Whether you consented to be contacted
We do not run advertising trackers or analytics that identify individual visitors. Basic server logs (IP address, page, timestamp) are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability purposes.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up as needed
- Schedule viewings, test drives, and appointments
- Prepare quotes, appraisals, and consignment proposals
- Maintain records required by law for vehicle transactions
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly ask to be on a list.
4. Service providers
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which forwards submissions to us by email. Our website is hosted by Netlify. These providers process your information only to deliver the service and may store data on servers outside of Canada. We disclose personal information to them solely for these purposes.
5. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A small number of technical cookies may be set by our content management system when our own staff log in to administer the site — these do not apply to regular visitors.
6. Retention
We keep inquiry data for as long as is reasonably needed to respond to you and to maintain normal business records. Transaction records are kept for the period required under applicable Québec and federal law.
7. Your rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information
- Ask for your information to be deleted, subject to legal retention requirements
- File a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
